Professor A. Soopramanien MD, PhD, FRCP | Consultant in Spinal Injuries and Rehabilitation Medicine, Salisbury, UK  

 

 

He trained and worked in spinal and rehabilitation centres in France (Bordeaux, Paris), the UK (Stoke Mandeville, Leamington Spa, London, Lincoln and Salisbury). He led the rehabilitation team with the International Movement of the Red Cross from 1988 to 1993 in Pakistan/Afghanistan and Romania. He was a Consultant in Spinal Injuries in Salisbury when he retired in April 2009.

He has specialised in Spinal Injuries, Acquired Brain Injury, Neurological Disability and limb-fitting, although his major activities now centre around Spinal Cord Injuries and Acquired Brain Injuries. After retiring from the Salisbury Spinal Centre, Anba then worked in the field of brain injury in a rehabilitation centre near Salisbury.

Bill Cox Martin | Tissue Viability and Spinal Cord Injury Specialist Nurse, Salisbury, UK

 

​Bill has worked in healthcare since 1983, commencing his nurse education at the Salisbury School of Nursing in 1986, qualifying in 1989. Following his qualification he has worked exclusively for the NHS and is currently employed as a Clinical Nurse Specialist, Tissue Viability with Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust.
His areas of practice are
• Pressure Ulcers (management and prevention)
• Spinal Cord injuries
• Multiple sclerosis
• Postural Management
• Wheelchair and seating assessment and prescription

Akshay S. Naojee | MBBS

 

Akshay is an MBBS graduate from the University of Mauritius. He is presently a pre-registration House Officer at the Dr A.G. Jeetoo Hospital, Port Louis.

Traumatic and stressful life experiences deeply impact the lives of an individual and his family. Akshay is very passionate in bringing healing to patients and help improve their quality of life.
